Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic, The Union Cemetery of Hellertown is establishing the following guidelines for funerals. Please share these guidelines with families. We ask that during this difficult time, funeral directors and families abide by these guidelines for the health and safety of all. Thank you.
- Burial Services at The Union Cemetery of Hellertown will continue: however, we ask that Funeral Directors and families follow the Governor of Pennsylvania's recommendation to suspend large gatherings of more than 10 people.
- In the interest of everyone's health, handshaking, hugging and other direct contact should be avoided. Unwell individuals should not attend the Cemetery / Graveside Services for any reason. We are asking families to include this information in their public obituary notice.
- Seating and tents will not be provided at the graveside.
- The witnessing of the lowering and closing of the grave will be temporarily suspended until further notice.
- While our outdoor cemetery grounds remain open to visitors, we recommend that visits that are unrelated to an internment service be avoided.
- The cemetery office is closed to the public. Please call and leave a message. We will return your call.
